The main mission of the Laboratory of Ancient Drama and Theatre Research is to support research, educational, training and publishing needs and quests focusing on ancient drama and its reception by the modern artistic, academic and cultural-social stage (drama/theatre translations, theatrical performances, original plays, operas, films, performances, art exhibitions, music compositions, etc. ά.). Its special objective is to contribute to the coverage, at undergraduate and postgraduate level, of the educational and research needs of the Department of Theatre Studies of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens as well as other Departments of the N.K.U.A. on topics that fall within the research field and the scope of the Laboratory’s activity.
