In the framework of the research project “PLUTUS 21. Unpublished translations of ancient drama: Detection – Collection – Recording – Evaluation”, two historic theatre translations of ancient drama, previously unpublished in any (printed or electronic) form, were published: Aeschylus’ Oresteia, in the translation by Georgios Sotiriadis, which sparked the “Oresteia episodes” when it was performed in 1903 at the Royal Theatre of Greece (transcribed - edited - introduced by Anna Mavroleon, Dr. theatrologist and teaching staff at the Post-Graduate Studies Program of the Department of Theatre Studies NKUA) and Euripides’ Orestes, translated by the playwright, director, translator, theatre critic Giorgos Sevastikoglou, who directed the play in 1982 at the National Theatre of Greece (transcribed - edited - introduced by Konstantina Ziropoulou, Assistant Professor at the Department of Theatre Studies of the University of Patras).
